Problem Statement

Problem Statement

Students preparing for competitive exams like NEET and JEE often face challenges with inconsistent study schedules, lack of structured practice tests, and misalignment with exam patterns. For both offline and online students, having an efficient, accessible, and structured assessment system is crucial for effective preparation. The absence of a platform to conduct daily and weekly assessments, tailored to specific topics and sub-topics, further exacerbates the difficulty of staying on track with exam preparation.

Objective

Objective

The primary objective of the Scheduled Test module is to create a reliable, accessible, and systematic assessment framework for students in grades 10 to 12. It aims to:

  • Provide structured daily and weekly tests based on a micro-schedule.

  • Align these tests with the latest exam patterns of NEET, JEE (Main & Advanced), and other competitive exams.

  • Offer accessibility through both web and mobile platforms, ensuring that students, whether offline or online, can participate in these tests seamlessly.

  • Cater to both school and college students, including hostellers, making it universally available.

Project Goal

Project Goal

The goal is to develop a comprehensive test engine within the nLearn platform, providing:

  • Seamless test-taking experiences for students across different devices (web and mobile).

  • Structured, topic-based test modules for systematic preparation.

  • A reliable tool for educators and institutions to track and monitor student performance.

  • A platform for personalized learning and targeted exam practice based on student progress and weaknesses.

Competitor Analysis

Here's a more detailed breakdown of B2B (Business-to-Business) products in the educational testing industry, focusing on the top four structured testing initiatives in India:

1. Allen’s Online Test Series

Description: Allen's Online Test Series is designed to offer practice and preparation through tests that mirror the exact pattern of competitive exams like JEE and NEET.

Strength: The test series is renowned for its accuracy in predicting exam patterns, helping students familiarize themselves with the actual exam scenario.

Weakness: While the tests are highly reflective of actual exams, they lack advanced analytics, which could provide deeper personalized insights and suggestions for improvement.

2. Aakash iTutor Test Series

Description: A part of Aakash iTutor's digital learning tools, this test series provides students with a range of practice tests complemented by video explanations for each question.

Strength: Known for its extensive question bank, this series enables comprehensive practice and understanding through detailed video solutions.

Weakness: Despite the rich content, the series falls short in offering real-time analytics, which limits the ability for students and educators to make immediate, data-driven decisions.

3. Vedantu JEE/NEET Test Series

Description: Vedantu provides live online teaching with a complementary test series for JEE and NEET preparation, featuring interactive discussions post-tests.

Strength: The live discussions and instant feedback from educators help clarify doubts immediately, which enhances learning and retention.

Weakness: The series' dependence on live sessions means limited accessibility for students who may need to access the material offline due to connectivity issues.

4. Unacademy Plus Mock Tests

Description: As part of Unacademy's Plus subscription, these mock tests offer a simulated exam environment along with community-driven insights and strategies.

Strength: The community aspect allows students to gain insights from peers and educators across the country, which can provide diverse perspectives and tips.

Weakness: The integration of these tests within a broader educational curriculum is limited, which might affect the consistency of learning and preparation.

Low Fidelity Wireframe

Low Fidelity Wireframe

Designed to support fast-paced collaboration, this feature empowers teams to brainstorm ideas, align on a clear direction, and make swift decisions without getting bogged down by unnecessary details. By streamlining communication and maintaining a focus on progress, it enables teams to work efficiently and move forward effectively."

High Fidelity Screens

High Fidelity Screens

During the design phase, I collaborated closely with the design team to regularly review progress and gather feedback. This iterative approach allowed the screens to evolve through multiple rounds of refinements and functionality enhancements. By actively involving team members and users throughout the process, we integrated their valuable insights, ensuring the final solution aligned with both our objectives and the needs of our users.
